Our services offer a wide array of trucking options, including precisely which type of Van trailer your shipment may require. We service most of these shipments, especially those comprising loose cartons or palletized freight, in a van trailer. Truckload service usually requires 48 or 53 foot trailers, although there are a wide variety of styles of trailer. We will frequently ask you if your palletized shipment, for example, can be stacked or not in the van trailer.
Flatbeds:
Some shipments require a flatbed trailer for loading or unloading ease and speed. Again, there is a wide variety in flatbed trailers which accommodate the trucking of almost any type shipment. Flatbeds also serve the needs of customers trucking special equipment, the wide load, the long load, the oversized load, the heavy haul load, or any other type of trucking which can legally move by highway in North America, and cannot move in a van.
Rail Shipment:
Rail, also known as Intermodal shipments represent a very cost effective mode of shipping commodities in truckload which are not necessarily time sensitive. Intermodal is simply putting the Van trailer or Container on a rail car and moving by train. Some ocean containers can be shipped cross country to avoid the cost of transloading. Intermodal shipments move via the nation's railroads and JLS can provide options for you to consider. Although shipping by rail can be less expensive than trucking, rail typically has a longer time in transit. Rail is the preferred mode for those shippers looking for the absolute cheapest way to move a long distance shipment, and is more concerned about cost than delivery time. 
LTL Trucking of large LTL shipments (less than truckload) can be very expensive, regardless of your discount.
